Car park closing time moves to 17:00 (5:00 pm) starting on Monday 28 October AND Haverhill Road open again

UPDATE – Haverhill Road has re-opened fully following the completion of UK Power Networks electricity cables installation.

British Summer Time ends on Sunday 27 October. Sunset will be shortly after 16:30 (4:30 pm) at that point and by late November back to 16:00 (4:00 pm). As usual, we are changing the car park closing time to take account of the shorter days. Starting on Monday 28 October, the gate will be locked at 17:00 (5:00 pm). This will stay as the closing time until mid-February next year. We don’t change the morning time and the car park gate will continue to be unlocked by 08:00 (8:00 am).

Please ensure that you leave the car park promptly. We rely on a dedicated group of volunteers to open and close the car park gate each morning and evening. Whoever is locking up in an evening will always check to see if vehicles are still in the car park. When that occurs, they will spend a short time looking round to see whether anyone is nearby before locking the gate. However, we do not expect our volunteers to spend extra time waiting for owners to return to their cars and they may well themselves be going elsewhere. If a vehicle is left in the car park after the stated closing time, it may be locked in overnight and you would need to retrieve it the following morning.

You can always check the Blog and News page on the website for the latest opening and closing times.
