Trust Management
The charity is constituted as a company limited by guarantee and is therefore governed by a memorandum and articles of association.
Its specific objectives are :
- The provision of recreation facilities for the residents of Cambridgeshire
- Conservation, protection, and restoration of the Cambridgeshire countryside
- The establishment of a nature reserve
- Support of registered charities having similar objectives
Since its inception in 1989, the Trust has largely achieved these objectives within the constraints of its funding and in a manner appropriate to the rural nature of the site.
The charity is organised so that the Trustee Directors meet regularly to manage its affairs. There is one part-time member of staff who is responsible for day-to-day administration. All work on the land is carried out by contractors or volunteers. The charity is a registered farmer.
