Annual Reviews
Each year we now produce an 'Annual Review' for Friends and Members, which incorporates a summary of our formal Year-end Report, plus what we hope are some interesting highlights of the year in question.
Previous Annual Reviews can be downloaded here:
Members and Friends are sent these annual reviews as soon as they are produced each summer, and have an opportunity to attend our AGM each October and raise any issues.

Update on Ranger cover for Magog Down
The Magog Trust has contracted a Ranger Service over the last five years, from Cambridge Past, Present Future (CPPF, ). This arrangement has worked extremely well for us with input and expertise from the experienced Rangers involved over that time.
In the last few months changes have taken place at CPPF, including redundancy for three full time Rangers and the resignation of two part time Rangers, all of whom were involved in patrolling Magog Down as part of the contract. We reported in January that we were considering our future plans in light of these changes. In early March, the Governors and other members of the Magog Trust's Management Team took the decision to terminate the contract with CPPF.
We are fortunate in being able to engage Jon Gibbs, formerly Head Ranger of CPPF, as a Conservation Ranger for the Magog Trust. He will be self-employed and the details of his contract with us are now complete. We are expecting him to be able to start regular patrols in late April.
We look forward to our close association with Jon and will continue to benefit from his vast expertise on conservation issues, as well as his helpful interaction with users of the Down.
Our good wishes go to the other former CPPF Rangers who were affected by the recent changes.

Old Newsletters
Up until 2011 we produced a twice-yearly Newsletter, and you can still download copies of some of these here:
In 2011 the re-designed website was launched, and so the decision was taken to stop producing these Newsletters, and instead to use this website as the main means of communication for news and articles of interest.
This move away from a regular Newsletter meant that more of the Members' and Friends' subscriptions could be spent directly on the costs of upkeep and husbandry on the Down.
We would love every regular visitor to Magog Down to help support its upkeep by becoming a Friend. Read more on our Join Us page, and then complete the application form.
